Jianxin Wang

Dr. Jianxin Wang received his B.Sc. (Computer Science) and M.Sc. (Computer Science) from Central South University of Technology, China, in 1992 and 1996, respectively, and his Ph.D. degree in computer science from Central South University, China, in 2001. He is the Associate Dean and a full professor in School of Information Science and Engineering, Central South University, Changsha, Hunan, China. His research interests include algorithm analysis and optimization, computer network and bioinformatics. He has published more than 100 papers, which have been published in various journals (Bioinformatics, Algorithmica, BMC Bioinformatics, BMCGenomics, IEEE/ACM TRANSACTIONS ON COMPUTATIONAL BIOLOGY AND BIOINFORMATICS, Computational Biology and Chemistry, Information Processing Letters, Computer Communication, etc.), conferences (ISMB, ISBRA, IEEE INFOCOM, GlobCom, TAMC, COCOON, etc.) and books. He is a co-inventor of more than ten patents in China, and has received many awards from agencies such as NSFC and Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. His recent research has been supported by NSFC, Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, and Hunan Province.
