THE IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON NANOBIOSCIENCE thank its reviewers, editorial board members, and most importantly its authors and readers for their support in 2016 and wishes them all the best for 2017! The Transactions had a year of consolidation, with the number of submitted manuscripts almost unchanged from 2015 at 185 manuscripts. The average time to first decision for manuscripts submitted in 2016 was again 2 months and the rejection rate was again 40%. The 2016 impact factor dropped to 1.969 – close to its 5-year average. The most encouraging sign of progress is that the number of downloads increased by 20% to 44,000.
